Can pose stuff from Portal aswell if you have the game. It draws from any source games, and you can use those resources. Maps, models, props etc.

You basically buy the games by valve and install them on Steam, they will automatically be extracted into GMOD

Gmod is a steam only game. To run it, you need steam. Same with most steam games.
